Digital Future

December 8,2019

The Canadian digital future is evolving constantly. The use of devices has increased at a vast rate over the years. The amount of time spent on laptops/desktop computers and mobile devices is incredibly high. Back when I was growing up we didn't rely on such things as we do now. We wanted a pizza we would call or we wanted to hang out with our friends we would knock on their door, not text. Things changed so quickly in a short time and, the world is becoming dependant on the use of these devices and tools. When I started out I was so amused by what facebook was and, the ability to re-connect with old friends and, have fun as well with posts and, games. Of course, our office Mohawk South Medical uses computers and it's solely relied on as, almost all of our information required for patients and so on is stored inside our computer systems. I was pretty surprised while researching the Canadian digital Future article to find that more Canadian are going mobile more than the other devices. I personally find it simply easier to use my computer to do what I need to get done. People use a lot of web sources based on their ages. When reading the article I found that it was very accurate as to how my household is with a mixture of all different ages. Perhaps your mother and father-in-law are slowly learning to use facebook. Your teenagers are bigger fans of Snapchat and Instagram. And maybe your younger children use things like Xbox and Ipads to play games such as Roblox and youtube. I think the biggest problem with all these platforms is the plagiarism and how easy it is to do. To sum up, what I think, I believe the future will thrive digitally and, the old ways some of us once knew will become only memories in time, such as a video I once watched of parents offering their two sons to work a rotary dial phone, it was very funny they had a offer of cash if they can figure out how to dial a number and the struggle was there, I do think in the end they got it.

The use of social media sites in this day and, age has increased and, the vast amount of users make it more effective for business users to promote their businesses using these sites. Using social media sites such as facebook and, twitter promotes your company and, decreases costs in marketing for your company. Mohawk South Medical has yet to include their business in social media sites and, it would be my recommendation that they should join the many other businesses obtaining new clients and, opportunities through these sites. The many users on social media can be a useful tool for businesses, with these potential clients or customers having the ability to search and find out more information and, even reviews regarding your business, it gives a large opportunity to be more successful. By using visuals on sites and, creating conversations it increases awareness towards your business and, will help your business become more successful. So if you have not yet signed up for your business accounts through social media it is my recommendation you do so. I mean why not? . All I researched regarding this is beneficial and no loses.

LinkedIn Summed up

December 2, 2019

I was thinking to my self today that maybe it would be beneficial to have a LinkedIn account. A lot of our employers here at Mohawk south medical obtained their job through their LinkedIn accounts. LinkedIn is a business and, employment service that operates by its website. It is used for job posts or even employers looking for employees. It enhances your professional reputation by creating a profile with all your job skills and, resume information. LinkedIn allows a potential employer to know you on a more personal basis. Adding photos of yourself and listed skills as-well-as education and, hobbies and, contacts give potential employees an interpersonal description of yourself. I like the ability to be able to check out one professional profile to get to know a person for professional reasons such as job hiring or maybe a potential new job or career. It has many great benefits. Yet if you are the type to have no social media accounts, I applaud that too. Keeping your life personal as most employers will search you via google this day and age will sometimes come in beneficial as-well. I think of all the positive reasons to have a LinkedIn account and, today I am officially on my way to sign myself up.
